interventions
public space object based situations
monoblock
-monumental public intervention-
The white plastic chair. Ordinary. Extremelly ordinary. The world’s most common and recognisable chair.
the project
Monoblock is part of a series of november’s public interventions.
Interventions, that tend to create apparently invisible but still spectacular situations.
With these actions november interrogate the systemic methodology of spectacle, art viewing and the viewers point of view.
Monoblock suggests that highly conceptual manifestations can be expressed with common words, common actions, common objects for common people in common places. Art is approachable. #freeart
.
“how spectacular could the presence of a monoblock chair be?”
.
N.B Monoblock is the white, plastic, common, ordinary and cheap world-renowned chair
.
the actions
.
The situations orchestrated (always around the monoblock chairs) question our point of view, where do we stand, even what do we think. Metaphorically and Physically.
.
- architectural shapes and interventive installations
- absurd interviews and informal communications
- deambulant chair walks
- secret soundscapes
- participative photographic set ups
- monoblock portraits
- everyday interventive set ups
.
Actually… The chair is only an excuse (and gets us be surprise!)
